Woman Pushed Off Subway To Her Death
Mon., Feb. 19, 1996
A Brooklyn teenager pushed a woman to her death from a moving subway train while trying to rob her early Sunday morning, police said.
The mother of the teenager, Jaheem Grayton, 15, said her son recently had been released from a hospital, where he had been treated for psychiatric problems, and he was supposed to be on medication. But she said he had stopped taking the drugs because of their side effects.
The victim, Naeeham Lee, 20, an aspiring model who worked as a home care attendant, was crushed beneath the train shortly after midnight after she had scuffled with Grayton between two subway cars, police said.
