Frances Seymour Hayden Lake, Idaho

Visitation for Frances Louise Seymour, 71, is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Friday at Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax, Wash. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m Friday at Oakesdale (Wash.) Cemetery.

Mrs. Seymour, who died Sunday, was born in St. Maries.

Her family moved to Oakesdale when she was 3 and she graduated from high school in Oakesdale. She then moved to Lewiston and then to California.

In 1946 she married Fred Schaub. They operated a meat-cutting business in California.

After they divorced, she returned to Oakesdale in 1959 and married Bill Pendry in 1960. He died in 1975.

In 1992 she married Norman Seymour.

Survivors include her husband, Norman; three sons, David Schaub of Los Gatos, Calif., Daryl Schaub of Reno, Nev., and Patrick Pendry of Snohomish, Wash.; two sisters, Katherine Miller and Phyllis Miland, both of Oakesdale; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Betty Witcher Spokane

Graveside service for Betty Rose Witcher, 68, will be today at 1 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens. Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Witcher, who was born in South Dakota, died Wednesday.

She lived throughout Washington, Idaho, Oregon and California before settling in Spokane 28 years ago.

Mrs. Witcher loved arts and crafts, crocheting, knitting, embroidering and tattering.

She enjoyed painting with oils, acrylics and water colors.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Scott; a daughter, Penny Ford of Connell, Wash.; a brother, Dean Hancock of Connell; and two grandchildren.

Edith St. George Spokane

Service for Edith G. St. George, 79, will be today at 11 a.m. at Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Maries.

Mrs. St. George, who was born in Winona, Wash., died Saturday.

She was a homemaker and lived in the St. Maries/Fernwood area before moving to Spokane in 1988. Mrs. St. George enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and solving crossword puzzles.

She was a member of the Fernwood Ladies Aid Society, the Community Presbyterian Church and the Fernwood Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Herbert, in 1983.

Survivors include three daughters, Florabell Duehne of Seattle, and Geraldine Schimpf and JoAnn Hamad, both of Spokane; four brothers, Lester and Leonard Gregory, both of Spokane, Dale Gregory of Oregon and Pete Gregory of Coulee Dam; two sisters, Verda Moos of Billings, Mont., and Esther Johnson of St. Maries; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Willard Haase Spokane

Visitation for Willard John Haase, 72, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 8 pm. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Redeemer Lutheran Church with private burial.

Mr. Haase, who died Saturday, was born in West Point, Neb.

He moved to Spokane with his family in 1934 and graduated from Central Valley High School in 1942.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He and his father, Edward Haase, purchased Haase Greenhouse in 1951 and he operated the greenhouse until 1995, when his son, Darrell, took over.

Mr. Haase was a member of the Inland Empire Flower Growers, Southeast Lions Club, Redeemer Lutheran Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1435.

His first wife, Artella, preceded him in death.

He married Jean Van Dewalle in 1979.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Eloise Kennedy of La Verne, Calif., and Theresa Hawes of Spokane; one son, Darrell Haase of Spokane; one brother, Harlan Haase of Connell, Wash.; one sister, Dorothy Schultz of Moses Lake; five stepchildren, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Hospice of Spokane.

James Little Spokane

Vigil service for James L. Little, 89, is planned for 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mr. Little, who died Saturday, was born in Hanley Falls, Minn.

He had lived in Spokane since 1918 and was a partner in the Warren, Little and Lund Heating and Plumbing Co.

He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Parish.

His wife, Loretta Hurley, preceded him in death.

Mr. Little is survived by three sons, James, Gerald and Ralph Little, all of Spokane; two daughters, Lois Walsh of Spokane and Lenore Rostollan of Usk, Wash.; one brother, Joseph Little of Tacoma; two sisters, Lenore Hartman of Everett and Loretta McCanta of Moscow, Idaho; 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Marjorie Warner Spokane

Graveside memorial service for Marjorie May Warner, 66, is set for 2 p.m. today at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.

Born in Spokane, Mrs. Warner died Saturday.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 6 Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Charles Warner; one son, Raymond Carney of Pullman; three daughters, Ann Dameron of Detroit, Pam O’Leary of Newport, Wash., and Patricia Steeber of Spokane; three brothers, Charles and Pat VanSickle, both of Spokane, and Robert VanSickle of Youngstown, Ohio; three sisters, Alice McGinnis, Barbara Christenson and Carol Finley, all of Spokane; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Barbara Mehulky Spokane

Vigil service for Barbara A. Mehulky, 88, is planned for 5:30 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Born in Dickinson, N.D., died Sunday.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Spokane for 52 years.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Altar Society and St. Martha’s Guild.

She is survived by three daughters, Martha Tomson, Irene Emch and Joan Colliton, all of Spokane; one son, Arthur Schindele of Wenatchee; four brothers, Tony, Albert, Charles and Jerry Bren, all of Dickinson, N.D.; three sisters, Eleanore Pavicek of Dickinson, and Elsie Franchuk and Sister Elsa Mary, both of North Dakota; 31 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Robert Kalber Spokane

Memorial service for Robert S. Kalber, 82, will be at 2 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.

Mr. Kalber, who died last Wednesday, was born in Cheyenne, Wyo.

He had lived in Spokane for 41 years and worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 43 years before retiring in 1974.

Mr. Kalber is survived by his wife, Mae Kalber; two daughters, Roberta Nary of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Helen Kramer of Spokane; one brother, Arthur Kalber, of Cheyenne; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute.

Henry C. Ferguson Longview, Wash.

At his request, no service will be held for Henry C. Ferguson, 80.

Mr. Ferguson, who was born in Kansas, died Friday from cancer.

He lived in Montana prior to moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1926. He later moved to Greenacres and graduated from Post Falls High School.

He had worked for Inland Empire Paper Co. and Crown Zellerbach. He also worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Healy, in 1956. Survivors include his wife, Lucille; three daughters, Beverly Sieczkowski of Anchorage, Alaska, and Bonnie Loeffler and Leona Chadburn, both of California; three sons, Dennis Ferguson of Moscow, Idaho, James Ferguson of Oregon and Raymond Ferguson of Arizona; a stepson, Jim Bennett; his brother, Robert Nunnelly of California; three sisters, Vivian VanValkinburgh of Spokane, Edna Bryant of Ephrata, Wash., and Genola Walters of Coeur d’Alene; and 17 grandchildren.

Marion Keck Spokane

Service for Marion Ruby Keck, 81, is set for 10 a.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.

Mrs. Keck, who died Friday, was born in Dassel, Minn.

She had worked as a waitress at Casey’s Restaurant and lived in Spokane for 30 years.

Mrs. Keck was a Lutheran.

She is survived by three sons, Warner Falls of Turner, Ore., Dennis Falls of Bothell, Wash., and Jim Falls; three daughters, Janice Jones, Cora Jelinek and Kathy Beauchamp, all of Spokane; one sister, Clarine Johnson of Cokato, Minn.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph Care Center.

Robert Dormaier Spokane

Services for Robert Dormaier, 82, will be at 1 p.m. today at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, where he was a member. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dormaier, who died Sunday, was born in Wheeler, Wash.

He was a 65-year Spokane resident and worked as a foreman at a casket company.

Mr. Dormaier is survived by his wife, Agnes; one daughter, Arlene Walch, one son, Jerry Dormaier, and one stepson, Gerald Scollard, all of Spokane; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.

Elmer Wilson Colfax, Wash.

Service for Elmer Wilson, 80, is planned for 11 a.m. Thursday at Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial will follow at Colfax Cemetery.

Mr. Wilson, who was born in Murry, Neb., died Saturday at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

He moved to Whitman County in the early 1940s and was a farm laborer.

He served in the Army during World War II and returned to Whitman County after his discharge in 1945. He continued his involvement in farming and went to work for the Whitman County Road Department in 1952. He retired in 1980.

He married Betty White in Colfax in 1951. They lived in Palouse, Wash., before moving to Colfax in 1989.

Mr. Wilson was a member of the Parvin Grange.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Nancy Floether of Odessa, Wash.; two sons, Monty Wilson of Colfax and Richard Wilson of Spokane; one sister, Edna Maynard, and one brother, Frank Wilson, both of Spokane; and six grandchildren.
