Owner Of Teen Dance Club Jailed On Liquor Charge
The owner of a Spokane Valley teen dance club was arrested early Saturday after sheriff’s deputies broke up a fourth after-hours party at the club.
Deputies said they found alcohol and several people inside The Sound Factory, 6515 E. Sprague, about 3 a.m. As a teen dance club, the Sound Factory is licensed to operate until 2 a.m. No alcohol is allowed.
The owner, Visut S. Kaemuongmul, 23, of 3124 E. Jackson, was booked into the Spokane County Jail for allowing liquor in an unlicensed public place. Kaemuongmul was also cited for operating the business after hours.
Deputies previously broke up early morning parties at The Sound Factory on Feb. 3, Feb. 9 and Feb. 10.

Employee Tina Lazorik was cited for operating a public dance hall after hours on Feb. 10.
Deputies wrestle with suspect
Deputies used Mace to subdue a Valley man they arrested early Monday on charges of taking parts from a stolen car.
Steven P. White, 19, was working on the car when deputies found the car, said Lt. David Wiyrick, Sheriff’s Department spokesman. When deputies tried to arrest him, White fought them, prompting a deputy to spray him with the chemical, they said.
White, who gave his address as 11403 E. Trent, was booked into the county jail on charges of first-degree possession of stolen property and third-degree assault.
Deputies were investigating a report of a disabled car in the 10300 block of East Empire Way about 1:30 a.m.
When deputies arrived they saw a black and gray Oldsmobile with two flat tires and extensive damage to the left front driver’s side. White told deputies that he ran over a railroad tie, which flatted the tires.
Deputies checked the license plate with a dispatcher and discovered the car had been reported stolen on Feb. 18.
White ran when deputies tried to arrest him and fought them when they caught him, Wiyrick said.
Two arrested in stolen car
Two teenagers were charged Sunday afternoon with stealing a car from a Valley car dealership.
Residents of a neighborhood in the 2200 block of South Ridgemont called deputies and reported two teenagers sleeping in a green 1995 Hyundai about 1 p.m.
The car had been reported stolen from Jaremko Nissan, 6901 E. Sprague, deputies said.
A 15-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy were booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center. They were charged with car theft.
Fire destroys car, garage saved
Fire destroyed a Valley resident’s car Saturday afternoon while it was parked inside the garage.
Flames were shooting from the 1980 Cadillac Seville when firefighters arrived at 2121 N. Harvard Road about 12:15 p.m. Firefighters doused the fire and pulled the smoldering car out of the garage and onto the driveway before the fire spread to the garage.
The fire destroyed the car, which was valued at $2,500. The garage was not damaged.
Ben Hansen, who owned the car, told firefighters he returned from the store and smelled gas. When he opened the hood, smoke billowed out.
Firefighters said a leak in the gas line started the fire.
