2 More Bombs Destroy Vehicles

From Staff And Wire Reports

Two more mystery car bombs, detonated seven minutes apart and on opposite side of town, have destroyed vehicles in Twin Falls.

Five bombs and unsolved explosions have erupted in Twin Falls in the past year - all are unsolved.

An explosion in the driveway launched Lorrie Shelton across the living room of her home south of town about 12:47 a.m. Wednesday.

Seven minutes later - at 12:54 a.m. - another erupted across town. It destroyed the pickup of John Richardson, 32, at his home on Filer Avenue.

No one was hurt in either blast.

“Every window in my home is destroyed, every window in my car is destroyed,” Shelton said. The explosion flipped a 1994 black Jeep upside down and blew a wheel axle into a neighbor’s yard.

Bridget Campbell, 26, owned the Jeep. Campbell had parked at the Shelton residence, but was elsewhere during the explosion.

Investigators are collecting debris for examination by experts, and they have no suspects yet, said Lt. Ron Axtman of the Twin Falls Police Department.

Though the bombings were “absolutely not” gang-related, detectives will look into the possibility of a link with drugs, Axtman said.

“I know it wasn’t intended for me. I’ve done nothing wrong. I have no enemies,” said Shelton.
