Dedication Of African American Collection Set

By The Spokesman-Review

A section of the East Spokane Public Library has become a showcase for a collection of African American books and cultural materials.

The new collection will be dedicated Saturday at the library, 524 S. Stone, between noon and 2 p.m. The public is invited.

Significant help putting together the collection came from the Spokane chapter of LINKS Inc., a service group.

The works include biographies, African history, and a variety of books on the African American experience.
