1 Killed, 1 Missing In Navy Jet Crash

A Navy jet crashed into the ocean during a carrier exercise Saturday, killing one crew member and injuring two others, the Navy said. A fourth crew member was missing.

The EA-6-B Prowler crashed about 12:05 p.m. while conducting routine flight operations from the USS Kitty Hawk, 150 miles off the coast.

The crew members were part of the Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 135, based at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Wash.
