The council will consider a petition initiative that proposes tossing out the mayor-city manager form of government for a strong mayor system.

Spokane Plan Commission

The commission will hold a public hearing on a proposal to change the name of Laura Street to Richard Allen Court in the East Central neighborhood.

The board will hear a report on and discuss the district’s strategic plan for technology.

East Valley School Board

The board will hear a report on architect selection and project time line, as well as discussing a snow make-up day and the March 8 board retreat.

West Valley School Board

Wednesday, 7 p.m. meeting

The board will hear a report from the bond underwriter and an update on the district’s strategic plan.
