Water System Bill Passes House, Goes To Senate
Drinking water systems would have to notify their customers if their water fails to meet EPA standards, under legislation approved by the Idaho House on Monday.
Rep. Marvin Vandenberg, D-Coeur d’Alene, proposed the bill for the second year in a row. Last year, it passed the House, but the Senate questioned whether it duplicated existing law, he said.
Research since then showed it didn’t. Vandenberg did make a minor wording change in the law.
It passed the House unanimously, and now heads to the Senate.
