Traffic Jumps 17% At Spokane Airport

The record-breaking pace of passenger traffic growth at Spokane International Airport continues.

The airport served 243,668 people in January, an increase of 17 percent over the January 1995 figure of 208,145.

Spokane International’s total cargo, both freight and mail, expanded by 16.1 percent over January of the previous year.

Airport officials say cold weather caused declines in general-aviation activity at both Spokane International and Felts Field during the month.
