Two Cars Impounded After Killing
Police have impounded two cars in the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old Eagle Scout.
Police would not disclose any details about the cars, which were seized Sunday in north Seattle and south Seattle. Police did not immediately return a phone call for comment Monday.
Police also have refused to release the name of a man arrested in the Thursday slaying of Trevor James Aurand in north Seattle.
The man arrested Friday is 26 years old and from Compton, Calif. He was arrested at a West Seattle apartment, police said. Bond for the man was set at $500,000 on Saturday.
Aurand, of Indianola, was in Seattle to attend a Christmas dinner for employees of a Scout camp. He was shot in the head while riding in a car with four fellow Scouts after stopping at a convenience store at about 1 a.m. Thursday to buy food, police said.
Others in the car have said they don’t know why they were shot at, and police have not disclosed any motive for the shooting.
