Outfielder Jerome Walton and the Atlanta Braves agreed to a $520,000, one-year contract with a club option for 1997.
Walton, a 30-year-old Atlanta native, batted .290 with eight homers, 22 RBIs and 10 stolen bases in 162 at-bats for the Cincinnati Reds last season.
