Some Feds At ‘Good Ol’ Boys’ Gathering

Compiled From Wire Services

Treasury officials have concluded that at least some federal agents took part in the “Good Ol’ Boys” roundup in Tennessee last year, according to a newspaper report.

The department’s inspector general concluded that the event was dominated by state and local officers, with only a few agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms attending, the Washington Post reported in Saturday’s editions.

Treasury Department spokesman Howard Schloss declined to comment on the report, saying the investigation is still open.

The roundup drew sharp criticism last year following reports of racist T-shirts and signs at the white-dominated gathering.
