Woman Hospitalized After Van Hits Car

From Staff And Wire Reports

A St. Maries woman was hospitalized in fair condition Sunday, after her van crashed into a parked car on icy U.S. 95.

Dorcas P. Ott, 60, was southbound about 12 miles north of Coeur d’Alene Saturday night when her 1988 Plymouth van suddenly spun sideways, the Idaho State Police said.

The van slid into a station wagon.

The other driver, Basil J. White, 69, of Bonners Ferry, had pulled over his car to remove ice from the windshield, the ISP said.

He was treated and released at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene.
