Drunken Driver Sent To Prison For Fatality
A Bonner County man who pleaded guilty to involuntary vehicular manslaughter was sentenced Monday to 3 to 5 years in prison.
John Hunt, 35, was driving drunk last August when he crashed his car into a tree stump. The wreck killed Gary Churchill, 45, who was a passenger in Hunt’s car.
Authorities said Hunt had a blood alcohol level of .21 when he was tested after the crash. A blood alcohol level of .10 is considered legally drunk in Idaho.
Hunt, who had a prior DUI conviction, will have his driver’s license suspended for two years after he is released for prison. , DataTimes
