Compiled From Wire Services

A monthlong flu epidemic has killed dozens of people in Armenia, including six patients at a psychiatric hospital, officials said Friday.

The Health Ministry has released no figures, but ministry officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the death toll has reached 48.

In one of the worst cases, six patients of a psychiatric hospital died earlier this week in the city of Sevan, about 30 miles northeast of the capital, Yerevan.
