From Staff And Wire Reports

A man turned himself in to Spokane police Tuesday shortly after robbing an East Sprague market.

Allen W. Mason, 39, was booked into the Spokane County Jail on suspicion of robbery, police said.

Mason claimed responsibility for robbing Sonnenberg’s Market, 1528 East Sprague, at about 9:40 a.m. He fled on foot.

Mason called Crime Check about an hour later, making arrangements to surrender. He was arrested at the Spokane Transit Authority Plaza.
