Jack Van Lippeloy Tucson, Ariz.

At his request no service will be scheduled for Jack H. Van Lippeloy, 80. The Arizona Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Van Lippeloy, born in Spokane, died last Wednesday in Tucson, where he had lived for several years.

He graduated from North Central High School and served 30 years with the Spokane Fire Department before retiring as a lieutenant in 1971.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Van Lippeloy of Tucson; two daughters, Jackie Klomp of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Terri Kellner of Portland; one son, Rodger Richardson of Olympia; one sister, Catherine Jungbluth of Spokane; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Walter Potts Coeur d’Alene

Service for Walter W. Potts, 58, will be today at 11 a.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene.

Mr. Potts, who was born in Kansas, died Friday. He spent most of his life in San Diego and moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1993.

He worked as an engineer at Ruen-Yaeger in Post Falls.

Mr. Potts enjoyed spending time with his family and loved hunting, camping and fishing. He was a member of the Coeurly-Q Square Dance Club in Coeur d’Alene.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Carolyn; two sons, Walter Jr. of North Carolina and Jim of San Diego; a daughter, Gail Ashdown of Los Angeles; two brothers, Larry Potts of San Diego and Douglas Potts of Reno, Nev.; and one grandson.

Memorials may be sent to The American Diabetes Association, Eastern Washington/North Idaho Region, 910 Fifth Ave. No. 237, Spokane, WA 99204.

Dwight Hume Spokane

A memorial service for Dwight D. “Don” Hume, 75, is scheduled for 1 p.m. today at Whitworth Presbyterian Church. A private family graveside service will precede. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hume, who was born in Moscow, Idaho, died Sunday.

He served in the Air Force during World War II and retired from civil service at Fairchild Air Force Base.

He was a member of the Brotherhood of Friends, the Spokane Moose Lodge, Eagles Aerie No.2 and the Sons of Norway and was a founding member of the Spokane Curling Club.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Hume; one son, Dwight Hume of Spokane; three daughters, Denise Smith of Colbert, and Janel Dudley and Kathleen Fairbanks, both of Nine Mile Falls; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Elisabeth Pagenburg Sandpoint

Vigil service for Elisabeth Pagenburg, 95, will be today at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sandpoint. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Sandpoint. Coffelt Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Pagenburg, who died Saturday, was born in Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1954. She lived on the East Coast and in Utah before moving to Sandpoint in 1965.

She enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables and won many blue ribbons for her apple streusselkuchen at the Bonner County Fair.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sandpoint.

Survivors include a son, J. Peter Pagenburg of Sandpoint; a daughter, Margarete Fallat of Sandpoint; a sister, Fraenze Nalewaja of Germany; and three grandchildren.

Frank Allenberg Moyie Springs, Idaho

Service for Frank Henry Allenberg, 78, will be held today at 1 p.m. at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry.

Mr. Allenberg, who was born in Pennsylvania, died Friday.

He moved to Boundary County in 1933 and settled in Moyie Springs a year later.

Mr. Allenberg worked at various jobs in the wood industry and also was a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Lila; a son, Dick Allenberg of Troy, Mont.; two daughters, Virginia Cowley of Bonners Ferry and Luana Allenberg of Moyie Springs; two brothers, Ernest Allenberg of New Mexico and Ralph Allenberg of Montana; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jack Harris Spokane

Private family services for Jack Edward Harris, 68, were held Thursday at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel. Arrangements were handled by the Cremation Society of Washington.

Mr. Harris, who was born in Cairo, Ill., died Jan. 8.

He served in the Navy from 1945 to 1948 and worked in the real estate field.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Harris of Spokane; one son, Joseph Harris of Seattle; two daughters, Hilary Harris of Seattle and LeAnne Harris of Spokane; and two sisters, Cuba Jean Gassaway of Athens, Ga., and Peggy Sue Dunker of South Fulton, Tenn.

Frederick Linke Spokane

A memorial service for Frederick H. Linke, 95, is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Grace Baptist Church. Private family inurnment will precede the memorial service. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Linke, a lifetime resident of Spokane, died Friday.

He graduated from Washington State College in 1924 with a degree in animal husbandry.

He was a charter member of the Spokane Valley Bandito Patrol and served on the Central Valley School Board for 15 years.

His first wife, Alice Lindsey Linke, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, June Bech Linke; one daughter, Patsy Wall; four stepchildren, Terry Bech, Jim Bech, Steve Bech and Stan Bech; four grandchildren and numerous stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Larry Sedore Spokane

Memorial service for Larry D. Sedore, 44, will be at 1 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.

Mr. Sedore, born at Fairchild Air Force Base, died Friday.

Survivors include his parents, Benny and Elaine Sedore of Spokane; a sister, Cindi June Price of Spokane; and grandparents, Arthur and Patricia Pohill of Windsor, Ontario.

Berneice Aycocke Clarkston, Wash.

A graveside service for Berneice B. Aycocke, 89, was held Jan. 3. at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Aycocke, who was born in Garfield, Wash., died Dec. 28.

She was a retired registered nurse.

Survivors include three sisters, Pearl Paris of Malin, Ore., Bertha Gerstin of Medford, Ore., and Helen Vinson of Clarkston; and two brothers, Harold Shoemaker of Clarkston and Lewis Shoemaker of Lewiston.

Milly Jukich Spokane

A memorial service for Milly Jukich, 83, will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Jukich, who was born in Spokane, died Jan. 7 after a lengthy illness.

She had raised registered polled Herefords on her farm. She was a member of the Paradise Grange.

Her husband, Melvin Jukich, died in 1981.

Survivors include her daughter, Marianne Koppang of Spangle; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter.

Victor Rosa Spokane

No service will be scheduled for Victor Rosa, 80. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Rosa, who was born in Charlo, Mont., died Jan. 6, following a long illness.

He retired from farming in 1980.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Rosa of Spokane; a stepdaughter, Donna Stanek of Spokane; two sisters, Anne Allen and Sylvia Jensen, both of Spokane; and one brother, Izzy Rosa of Arizona.

Judy Jones Spokane

At her request, no services were held for Judy “Julia” Jones, 55. Cremation Society of Washington was in charge of cremation and arrangements.

Mrs. Jones, born in Big Timber, Mont., died Dec. 26.

She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Merle Jones, died in 1992.

Survivors include one son, Glenn Paulsen of Olympia; and one daughter, Krissandra Paulsen, her mother, Mary Richardson, one brother, two sisters and four grandchildren, all of Spokane.

Dorothy Lentes Spokane

Service for Dorothy Maxine Lentes, 62, is scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Lentes, who was born in Spokane, died Friday.

She was a graduate of Lewis and Clark High School and Washington State University.

She was a retired elementary schoolteacher.

Miss Lentes was a member of the Washington State University Cougar Club and the National Educational Association.

Survivors include her mother, Rosamond Lentes; and two brothers, Richard Lentes Sr. and William Lentes, both of Spokane.
