College Basketball Tonight

San Diego at Gonzaga

Gonzaga (10-4, 1-1 in West Coast Conference) takes on the Toreros (7-6, 2-1) in a WCC match at 7 p.m. in the Martin Centre.

At a glance According to GU coach Dan Fitzgerald, San Diego stands as one of the early surprises in the WCC, seeing that they’ve gone 2-1 despite the injury losses of Sean Flannery and Brian Bruso. “They’re kind of like us, except maybe not as big, but they’re very solid,” Fitzgerald said. “The thing we’ve got to do is make sure we don’t slip up at home.” The Bulldogs have won 11 straight at home and have gone 19-2 in the Martin Centre over the last three seasons. For the Toreros, sophomore forward Ryan Williams is the only player scoring regularly in double figures. Fitzgerald will shuffle the lineup once again, starting Lorenzo Rollins at the off-guard. Rollins put in a season-high 23 points against Saint Mary’s on Saturday.

Gonzaga: Paul Rogers and Jon Kinloch, 14.7 ppg; Scott Snider, 8.2 rpg; Kyle Dixon, 5.3 apg. San Diego: Ryan Williams, 13.9 ppg; Williams, 6.2 rpg; David Fizdale, 7.4 apg.

Radio: KJRB (790 AM) with Dick Wright 15 minutes before tip-off.
