San Francisco 63, Portland 57

Jason Johnson scored 11 of his career-high 15 points in the second half to lead the Dons to victory over the Pilots at Portland.

John Duggan added 13 points - 10 in the second half - and Zerrick Campbell scored 10 as USF took sole possession of second place.

Kweemada King led Portland with 18 points and Chivo Anderson added 11 as the Pilots lost their first home game in 19 games over two seasons.

A King layup gave Portland a 37-27 lead at 17:10 in the second half, but USF went on a 13-0 run. Duggan had seven of the 13 points, including back-to-back layups at 12:40 that gave San Francisco its first lead, 40-37, since early in the game.

A Rick Brainard 3-pointer for Portland with 5:51 left tied the game at 50. But Johnson scored two consecutive layups to make it 54-50, with 3:52 left.
