Spokane City Council

Monday, 3 p.m. citizen briefing, lower-level conference room;

The council will consider changing the format of the public forum - the half-hour, free-form segment dedicated to residents’ concerns about city government. Council members also will hear about the city’s contracts with various human service agencies and an update about City Hall Link.

Spokane Plan Commission

Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. regular meeting, second-floor conference room

City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Fall Blvd.

The commission will decide whether to allow construction of a grocery store at the southwest corner of Third Avenue and Thor Street.

Spokane School Board

Wednesday, 7 p.m., regular meeting, school district headquarters, 200 North Bernard

The board will consider policy changes on unlawful discrimination and harassment, a nomination to the sex education advisory committee and increased summer school fees.

West Valley School District and Orchard Prairie School District

Wednesday, 5:30 p.m., special work session

Millwood Early Childhood Education Center, E8818 Grace.

The two boards of directors will discuss items of mutual interest. No action will be taken.

Central Valley School Board

Monday, 6:30 p.m. regular meeting

Central Valley administrative building, E19307 Cataldo.

The board will hear reports on the 11th grade standardized test scores and the use of technology in junior high social studies classes.

Spokane County Commission

Monday, 10 a.m., joint city/county Public Works Committee, City Hall

Tuesday, 9:30 a.m., briefing with chief administrative officer;

11 a.m., meeting with Superior Court judges over Martin Hall;

1:30 p.m., regular meeting, consent items, lower level of Public Works Building;

5 p.m., regular meeting, non-consent items, lower level of Public Works Building

Thursday, 10 a.m., AGC and Road Coalition

1:30 p.m., community development issues

2:30 p.m., preassessment ULID hearing U963 on Miller Park
