Simpson Agrees To TV Interview On Cable Network

Associated Press

Once again, O.J. Simpson has consented to a television interview.

Simpson is scheduled for a live, one-hour interview Wednesday on cable’s Black Entertainment Television network, starting at 7 p.m. PST, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.

Ed Gordon, news anchor for the Washington, D.C.-based network, said he will conduct the interview and that Simpson will not be paid. The deal was made final Friday.

“I’ve never met Simpson personally,” Gordon told the paper. “There have been a number of parties involved in this. We, like everyone on the planet, have been going after him.”

Calls to BET officials for further comment Saturday were not answered.

The interview comes as Simpson is promoting a mail-order video that tells his side of the case.

Gordon said the BET interview was negotiated by Simpson attorney Johnnie Cochran.
