Learn Tips On Recovering From Life’s Setbacks

If you’ve experienced a life-altering setback - serious illness, loss of a job, injury, divorce, death in the family - and are having difficulty getting back on track, make plans to attend “Making a Comeback,” a 90-minute seminar at the Holy Family Hospital Women’s Health Center on Thursday.

The program will give pointers on how to regain emotional stability, change attitudes, increase self-confidence and how to thrive in a knotty situation.

The seminar is free, but pre-registration is required. Call 482-2477.

Elder services

Spokane Mental Health is sponsoring Elder Services Information and Assistance for seniors who need information, support or assistance.

Call 458-7450 to learn about the senior meal program, escorts to the doctor or social interests with other retirees as well as information about Alzheimer’s Disease.

Help your heart

Just in time for American Heart Month, the Deaconess Health and Education Center, 800 W. Fifth, will present a free class, “Help for the Heart,” on Thursday, Feb. 1, from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Dr. Michael Hinnen, a cardiologist, will discuss the actions people can take to achieve better heart health.
