East-Central Wins Whl All-Star Game
Craig Millar of Swift Current scored two goals Tuesday night to lead the East-Central team to a 10-7 victory over the West in the Western Hockey League All-Star Game.
Chris Phillips of Prince Al bert, a 17-year-old expected to go high in this year’s NHL entry draft, had a goal and an assist and was named the winning team’s MVP.
Geoff Lynch of the Prince George Cougars, who replaced the injured Richard Zednick of the Portland Winter Hawks in the lineup, had two goals and an assist and was named the West’s MVP.
Jason Podollan of the Spo kane Chiefs scored two goals and Chiefs teammate Sean Gillam added another.
