M’S Stadium Bidders Cut To 3

Compiled From Wire Services

Two architectural firms from Kansas City and one from Seattle have been chosen as finalists to design a new stadium for the Seattle Mariners.

Ellerbe Becket and HOK Sport, both of Kansas City, and NBBJ of Seattle were selected by the Washington State Major League Baseball Stadium Public Facilities District.

A committee of the board is expected to choose one of the three after interviews Friday, with the choice ratified Monday by the full board.

The M’s claimed right-handed pitcher Aaron Small on waivers from the Florida Marlins. He has been designated for assignment.
