Spokane Gets Whl All-Star Game
The Western Hockey League has awarded next year’s All-Star Game to Spokane. It will be played Jan. 21.
Also, the league’s general managers have approved a schedule that next year will have West Division teams playing only one game against franchises in the East and Central divisions. Teams have played a home-and-home interdivisional set since the 1987-88 season.
Half of the West Division teams will go East next season, with the other half going the following season.
Too much travel and missed schooling were cited as reasons for the change. , DataTimes
