Lewiston Bank Posts Improved Earnings

Lewiston-based Seaport Citizens Bank reported slightly higher earnings for 1995 compared with 1994.

The total, $364,810, was about 1 percent better than the prior year.

Asset growth was significantly better. The $29.3 million on hand at year end was 11.7 percent higher than the final sum for 1994. Loans were $17.8 million, deposits $26.4 million.

President Greg Charlton said the bank has received permission from regulators to build a second branch in the Sunset Center of Lewiston.
