Associated Press

A Boise woman accused of killing one granddaughter and trying to kill three other grandchildren last November has been bound over to 4th District Court.

Susan Kathleen Stovern, 42, remained in Ada County Jail without bond Friday after her preliminary hearing before Magistrate Richard Schmidt. He ordered her arraigned Feb. 5 on one first-degree murder charge and three counts of attempted murder before Judge Deborah Bail.

Stovern is accused of drugging and suffocating 5-year-old Ashley Ann McQuillan, who died on Thanksgiving Day. The grandmother also is charged with using drugs in an attempt to kill 3-year-old Alexandria McQuillan, 4-year-old Christopher Michael McQuillan and Matthew McQuillan, 1.
