Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: Here’s a hint for the problem of the out-of-shape, hard-to-use, almost- empty toothpaste tube.

Flatten from the bottom until all the paste is at the top, fold from the bottom (don’t start too small) and then put a butterfly paper clip on the folded part to hold it.

The butterfly clips are wide enough that they stay on for future squeezes and they keep the paste at the top where you need it.

Works great, especially for children! - Pam Foster, Roswell, N.M.

Dear Heloise: I have several necklaces on my dressing table and they always seem to get tangled.

I solved the problem using a man’s tie rack on the wall next to my dressing table. Now, I just swivel it around to find what necklace I need. - S.S., Junction City, Kan.
