Another Win For Pitino

Aces, owned in part by University of Kentucky men’s basketball coach Rick Pitino, raced to a 2-1/4-length victory in the Astoria Stakes at Belmont Park.

Ridden by Jerry Bailey, Aces covered 5 furlongs in 1:05 and paid paid $4.70 to win. The 2-year-old filly earned $32,730 for Pitino, Cherry Valley Farm and William Minardi.
