Man Drowns After Boat Capsizes

From Staff And Wire Reports

A Woodinville, Wash., area man drowned after a boat carrying him and two other men capsized on Lake Roesiger, Snohomish County officials said.

The victim was identified as Joshua Franklin, 20, county medical investigator Leon Reichle said. An autopsy showed the cause of death was drowning, the medical examiner’s office said.

The three men, who had been drinking at a party, went out about 1:50 a.m. Sunday in an 11-foot rowboat on the lake east of Everett, Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen said.

When two of them tried to stand up, the boat capsized, she said.

County divers recovered Franklin’s body.

The other two men were described only as a 20-year-old from Woodinville and a 21-year-old from Mountlake Terrace, Wash. xxxx
