Who would have thought a comedy show and a round of golf would be a good match?
After you hack your way through 18 holes, break a few clubs and leave some balls in the water, you can laugh away your frustrations.
Uncle D’s Comedy Underground and Fairways Golf Course in Cheney are hosting a Comedy Golf Tournament on Saturday.
The event features 18 holes of golf, a barbecue dinner and a comedy show.
Tee time is 1 p.m. and it will start with a shotgun start.
The tournament can accommodate 36 foursomes; about 20 have registered. So there is still plenty of room.
Dinner will follow the tournament at 6 p.m. At about 7, the comedy show starts.
The cost is $35, which includes golf, dinner and comedy. It’s $12.50 for dinner and the comedy show and $5 for just the comedy. You must be at least 21 to attend the comedy show. Call 747-8418 to reserve a golf cart. To register, call Don Parkins at 483-1324. You can even register at the gate on Saturday.
sponsored Jargon is confusing, by definition. And the financial world has its own set of cryptic words.
