Girl, 8, Saves Mom From Masked Intruder

Eight-year-old Lataljia Palmer screamed at the burglar to stop choking her mother.

He didn’t listen.

So the tiny girl jumped on the burglar’s back, punched him and ripped off the blue and white scarf covering his face.

Stunned, the burglar grabbed his gun and ran.

“She jumped on him and screamed, ‘Get away from my Mama. Leave my Mama alone,”’ said Lyshun Clarke. “My baby saved me.”

The suspect, James McCloud, 17, was arrested Thursday night and charged with armed burglary and assault.
