Volleyball All-Stars Set To Play East Aa/Aaa State Squad Loaded With Gsl Players

It’s no longer called the Mizuno East/West All-State Volleyball Series. But the concept and format is still the same.

After 10 years, Mizuno dropped sponsorship for the longest ongoing All-Star series in the state of Washington for women. However, the Dairy Farmers came in to the rescue.

So, this year’s Dairy Farmers East/West All-State Volleyball Series will be held on Thursday at North Central, the same place it’s always been.

At 5 p.m., East and West A/B All-Stars will square off, followed by the East and West AA/AAA All-Stars at 7.

This year, the East AA/AAA roster reads like a who’s who of Greater Spokane League players.

K.C. Richards and Molly Jones of Ferris; Tamara VanEngelen and Aimee Wilson of AAA state champion North Central; Brandy Barratt of Gonzaga Prep; and Sarah Hiss and Ingrid Lindeblad of Lewis and Clark are seven of the 11 players on the East’s AA/ AAA squad.

For the East A/B, the familiar faces of Holly Arden and Jessica Martin of Wilbur-Creston will headline the team.

Ticket prices are $3 for adults, $2 for students and children 6-and-under are admitted free.
