Expert Expects Tighter Security At Airports
Even as federal investigators searched for the cause of the fiery explosion of TWA Flight 800, safety experts called Thursday for tighter security measures at U.S. airports.
“I have a feeling that airport security in this country changed dramatically and forever,” said Francis G. McGuire, aviation consultant and author of three books on airline safety issues.
“Never again will you be able to get to the airport 15 minutes ahead of time, rush to the screening procedure and get on the plane. I think that changed forever,” McGuire said.
