Georgian Villages Hit By Flooding
Floodwaters have swept through several villages in southern Georgia, leaving dozens of families homeless, a news report said Saturday. No injuries were reported.
Floods caused by heavy rains destroyed homes, wiped out 12 bridges and killed many farm animals in the Khuloisky region in the past three days, the ITAR-Tass agency reported.
The Khuloisky region is part of the Georgian republic of Adzhariya, and is located near the Turkish border.
