Minnick Will Quit If He Loses Race

From Staff And Wire Reports

Democratic senatorial candidate Walt Minnick says he is not a career politician and will not run for political office if he loses in November.

Minnick added Friday that if he defeats Republican incumbent Larry Craig, he also would not necessarily seek another term.

“If I lose, I have said categorically that I won’t run for anything else,” he said. “I’m doing this because I think there are some things wrong in Washington.”

Sounding dissatisfied with the campaign process, Minnick said he has spent most of his time raising money and not time enough discussing the issues. He said he is halfway to his $3 million goal.
