Hundreds Of Horses Attacked In Germany
Hundreds of horses reportedly have been attacked and dozens killed in what German police are describing as a new criminal phenomenon spreading through the country.
More than 300 horses have been attacked and injured with knives and other weapons since 1992 in Germany, with 89 dying of the wounds, German state television said Monday.
Police believe the motives for the attacks vary, including sadism and revenge against horse owners, the report said.
Thus far only two people have been arrested.
