Five Injured In Two-Car Collision

From Staff And Wire Reports

Five people were injured Tuesday afternoon when a pickup truck collided with a car at a Spokane Valley intersection.

Three ambulances took the injured to Sacred Heart Medical Center.

The car’s driver, 23-year-old Travis Fisher, was listed in satisfactory condition late Tuesday. He appeared to have a broken collar bone, said Rick Keeling, Valley Fire District battalion chief.

Steve LeBlanc, the 26-year-old driver of the pickup, complained of chest pain. He was released after treatment.

The other victims were not hospitalized, authorities said.

Trooper A.B. Little said LeBlanc’s 1979 Chevy pickup was eastbound on Saltese when the 1986 Honda ran a stop sign on Vercler.

The pickup smashed into the driver’s side of the car, shoving it into a tree in front of a house. The driver and a passenger in the front seat had to be cut out of the wreckage. , DataTimes
