Black Soldier Suspect In Racist Graffiti, TV Says
A black soldier is the prime suspect in the Army probe into swastikas painted on the doors of black soldiers, a television station reported.
The Army Special Operations Command headquarters refused to confirm or deny the report.
WTVD-TV in Durham said it based its report Tuesday on an unidentified source at the Pentagon. Military officials did not disclose the soldier’s identity or a possible motive, the station said.
The swastikas were found spray-painted last Tuesday on eight doors inside barracks that house members of the 7th Special Forces Group at Fort Bragg. Black soldiers lived in six of the rooms; the other two rooms were vacant.
