Belli Remembers His Four Dogs In Will

Melvin Belli, the “king of torts” lawyer whose clients ranged from Mae West to Jack Ruby, left half his estate to charity, half to his children - and $10,000 to his four dogs, according to his will released Sunday.

Belli, who died July 9 at age 88, does not name a charity or any of his six children and two stepchildren in the will dated Jan. 24, 1993. But he does name Rhumpy, Ozzie, Momba and Skye.

Others named are forbidden to receive any money, like ex-wife No. 4, Lia Triff, whom he calls a “miserable and deceitful person,” and his law partners. The value of his estate was not disclosed.
