Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: For butter molds for a party, I use cookie cutters, such as:

a heart for Valentine’s Day

a rabbit for Easter

a candy cane or snowman for Christmas

a pumpkin for Halloween

a shamrock for St. Patrick’s Day

a turkey for Thanksgiving.

These are only a few you could use.

I spray the cookie cutter first with nonstick cooking spray and then put it on a clean chopping board and fill it with butter. Then I carefully push it through onto the butter dish.

My friends think I am so clever, but it really is easy and fun. - Nancy Droege, Little Rock, Ark.
