Motorcyclist Still In Critical Condition

A Post Falls man remained in critical condition Sunday, a day after he was injured in a motorcycle crash.

David L. Dorton, 43, was flown to Kootenai Medical Center with serious injuries after the 5:33 p.m. crash, according to the Idaho State Police.

Also hospitalized was passenger Becki Leanne Deskin, 35, of Post Falls. She was treated Saturday night and released.

Dorton was northbound on state Highway 41 when he drove his 1991 Harley-Davidson off the right shoulder of the road at a curve. The bike went up the bank, flipped and skidded back on the roadway. The crash occurred between Rathdrum and Spirit Lake.

Neither Dorton nor Deskin was wearing a helmet, and alcohol was a factor in the crash, the state police said.
