The Very Rev. Peter E. Gillquist, chairman of the department of missions and evangelism for the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America, will discuss the rising popularity of Orthodox beliefs on Sunday and Monday in Coeur d’Alene and Spokane.
Gillquist - author of six books, including the recently published “Becoming Orthodox” - will discuss “The Search for the True Faith: Orthodox Christianity.” His talk will outline how the Orthodox Church is different from Protestant and Catholic churches.
“The days of Orthodox Christianity being the best-kept secret in America are over,” Gillquist said. “It’s time to call America to the fullness of faith.”
He will speak at 7 p.m. Sunday in Coeur d’Alene’s Lake City High School auditorium, and at 7 p.m. Monday in St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 1325 E. Queen.
