Gordon On Pole

Jeff Gordon had a record-breaking qualifying lap for Sunday’s Miller 500, touring the Dover (Del.) Downs International Speedway track in 23.258 seconds for a speed of 154.785 mph.

Also at Dover, Bobby Labonte drove to the pole for the GM Goodwrench-Delco Battery 200 with a lap of 149.963 mph for today’s Grand National race.
