First Woman To Run Derby

The Derby, England’s most famous thoroughbred race, will have its first woman jockey in today’s running.

Alex Greaves will be aboard the filly Portuguese Lil, listed as 1,000-1 outsider at Epsom Downs.

The favorite is expected to be Dushyantor, who assumed that role when the prerace pick Dr. Massini dropped out with a foot injury.
