African Lion Still Not Caught

Spokane County Animal Control officials say an African lion apparently prowling around West Spokane has not been caught.

A search that began Thursday has been called off until further sightings are reported.

The lion is believed to have slaughtered a newborn lamb on a nearby farm earlier Thursday morning. That farm is six blocks away from the only place anyone actually reported seeing the lion.
