Industrialist’s Sons, Coach In Bar Fight

From Staff And Wire Reports

The sons of Missoula industrialist Dennis Washington and an assistant University of Montana track coach found themselves in legal trouble after a bar fight.

Kyle Washington, 26, and Kevin Washington 23, face three assault charges each for fighting with bouncers at the Oxford Bar at 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

Missoula Police Sgt. Jim Lemcke said the Washingtons were in the bar with Mike Ramos, assistant track coach at UM.

“Employees of the Oxford asked Ramos to leave and he challenged a bouncer to fight,” Lemcke said. “So some of the bouncers grabbed him and detained him. While they were doing this, Kyle and Kevin got involved and started punching the bouncers.”

Ramos, who has applied for the head track coaching job at UM, was charged with disorderly conduct. He has until Wednesday to appear in Municipal Court.

The Washingtons pleaded innocent to two assault charges. They were notified of a third charge after their court appearance Thursday.
