Joseph Barrett Spokane

Visitation for Joseph S. “Joe” Barrett, 73, is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Greenwood Memorial Park.

Mr. Barrett, who was born in Montana, died Thursday.

He retired from the Air Force in 1964 as a lieutenant colonel and had lived in Spokane for 43 years.

He was a member of Shadle Park Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Jean Barrett; sons Joseph Barrett of Silverdale, Wash., Ronald Barrett of Bothell, Wash., David Barrett of Spokane, and Jonathan Barrett of Seattle; daughters Nancy Micheau and Suzy Greco, both of Veradale; brothers William and Edward Barrett, both of Billings, Mont.; and seven grandchildren.

Charles Plaster Spokane

No service will be held for Charles A. Plaster, 74, at his request. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.

Mr. Plaster, who died Friday, was born in Ferndale, Wash.

He worked an appraiser for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and retired in 1988. He had lived in Spokane for more than 22 years.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He was a member of Scottish Rite Bodies, Sundance Golf Course, COPS Northwest and Messiah Lutheran Church.

Mr. Plaster is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dolly Plaster; sons John Plaster of Auburn, Wash., and Steven Plaster of Enumclaw, Wash.; daughters Susan Brown of Tacoma and Mary Mangiapane of Pine Top, Ariz.; sister Donna Helgath of Ferndale, Wash.; brother Mickey Plaster of Bourne, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
