Parents, Baby Sitter Questioned In Infant’s Death

The parents of a 3-month-old boy and his baby sitter are being questions in connection with the infant’s death, authorities said.

No arrests had been made but the investigation was continuing into the death of Cedric Molina, who died at the Bannock Regional Medical Center in Pocatello on Monday after being taken to Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot a day earlier.

Bingham County Sheriff Dayle Holm said it appeared the child had been beaten in the head.

The boy was taken to the hospital by his parents, Andrea Shipley and Canuto Molina, after what officials said was an incident that occurred at the couple’s Blackfoot home. There was no immediate elaboration.

An autopsy was being conducted.
