Farrakhan Calls Queen Reminder Of ‘Servitude’

The Queen of England became the latest target of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who attacked the British monarchy in a speech to thousands of her Jamaican subjects.

“The queen must not be a reminder to us of our days of colonial servitude to Britain,” Farrakhan said. “We must cut every vestige that reminds us of our slave past and we must ascend to our free present.

“How dare you, 30 years or more into your independence from Britain, you are still bowing to the queen? Who is she that you must bow down to her?” Farrakhan asked the crowd of 12,000 at Kingston’s National Arena.

He received a standing ovation.
